About Us
I Grieve You Save was established over a decade ago to assist homeowners in navigating their property tax grievances while charging a flat fee. This approach eliminates the uncertainty of what homeowners will owe when their tax bills arrive in 18 months. Our straightforward model involves filling out a form, conducting research, filing your tax grievance, and allowing you to keep your savings! With a reduction rate exceeding 98% over the years, we are confident in our ability to support you and your family. As residents of Nassau County, we value our clients as neighbors and friends.
**About Michael**
I'm Michael Cohen, the founder of I Grieve You Save. I reside in Plainview with my wife and two children. What began as a way to assist friends with their property tax grievances has evolved into a mission with profound meaning. For me, I Grieve You Save is more than a business; it’s an opportunity to help neighbors save money. I've always enjoyed saving, even rolling quarters while watching TV. After moving here in 2006 and seeing the high property taxes, I started grieving them annually and educated many new friends who were unaware of the process.
Fast forward over ten years, I Grieve You Save was born to extend help beyond my immediate circle. I was never fond of the percentage-based model, as many felt overcharged by such firms. We've assisted thousands of homeowners in retaining their savings through a flat fee structure. Many of our clients return each year, and some have become close friends.
As part of this community, we actively participate in school committees and sports teams. We understand the confusion surrounding tax bills, and our goal is to simplify the process while providing the respect and attention you deserve.
I Grieve You Save proudly supports various local charities and is a sponsor of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Booster Club.
We are very involved in the Special Education community and give back as much as we can to these families.
